Copilot on Windows 11 now integrates with the “Alt+Tab” shortcut to switch between open windows. Microsoft announced this new feature in a preview update of Windows 11 build 23560 available to the Dev channel.

We are now introducing the feature to utilize Copilot on Windows using ALT + TAB. Pressing ALT + TAB will show the Copilot thumbnail preview alongside other open window thumbnails, allowing you to switch by pressing Tab.

The developer of Windows clarified that this alteration will not affect the ALT + TAB function on Windows 11. Additionally, Copilot will only show up in ALT + TAB if it is open in the taskbar.

The Dev channel of the Windows Insider program is among the earliest to get new OS features for testing, so it may be a while before the update with Copilot integration for the “Alt+Tab” command reaches the stable Windows 11 version accessible to the public.
